Saint Thomas the Apostle is one of the Twelve Disciples of Christ and is known for his sincere search for truth and deep faith. Initially hesitant to believe in the Resurrection without seeing the Risen Lord, he later encountered Christ and made his powerful confession: “My Lord and my God.”
The Orthodox Church honors Saint Thomas as an example of a person who moved from doubt to unwavering faith. According to Holy Tradition, he preached the Gospel as far as India, where he ultimately suffered martyrdom for Christ. His feast day is celebrated on October 6.
